The difference between benzene board and extruded board

Weather resistance: Due to the strong water absorption of benzene board, the weather resistance extruded board is different. Price: From the price point of view, the price of extruded board is more expensive than that of benzene board. Tensile strength: The tensile strength of extruded board is slightly higher than that of benzene board. Bonding strength: The bonding strength of benzene board is lower than that of extruded board. Thermal conductivity: thermal conductivity is greater than the former.

1. Extruded polystyrene board is called extruded polystyrene foam board, abbreviated as extruded polystyrene board, XPS board, extruded polystyrene board. It is made of polystyrene resin plus other raw materials and polycontainers, heated and injected with catalyst at the same time, and then extruded to form a rigid foamed plastic, whose scientific name is extruded polystyrene foam (XPS), With a perfect closed-cell honeycomb structure, this structure makes the XPS board very low water absorption (almost no aging in normal use).

2. Compared with EPS foam, XPS board is the third generation of rigid foam insulation material, which overcomes the excellent performance that EPS board cannot replace in terms of technology.

3. Due to the low water absorption rate of benzene board, the weather resistance of these two boards is not as good as extruded board. However, the ductility of benzene board is better, and many problems can be overcome during decoration. As far as waterproofing is concerned, the surface glue of the two materials has a certain water resistance, so the waterproof effect is good. In terms of price, these two materials also have a certain difference. Generally, the price of extruded board is more expensive than that of benzene board. In addition to the price, their thermal insulation performance is also different, the same thickness of the board, the thermal insulation effect of the benzene board is better than the extruded board. Second, in terms of tensile strength, the difference between the two is relatively large. The tensile strength of extruded board is stronger than that of benzene board.

Expansion: The tensile strength of the sheet is related to its bulk density. For example: when the bulk density of polystyrene board is 18 Kg/m3, the tensile strength is 110~120 KPa, and the bulk density of extruded board is 25-45 Kg/m3. Although both have a certain tensile strength, the strength of the extruded board is higher than that of the benzene board. For thin plaster systems, the bond strength will also affect the use of the board, so no matter what material is selected, the bond strength of the board is very important.
